MPs will earn Sh100,000 more monthly after Parliament increased the House sittings to five sessions a week from two to speed up debates and passage of Bills.
The National Assembly altered its calendar that will see MPs hold two sittings every Tuesday and three every Thursday. MPs will now sit up to 9pm from 2:30pm as the House rushes to clear priority business amid Covid-19 pandemic.
Traditionally, the business of the House is transacted on Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoon and the whole day on Wednesdays…
