Kenya trails regional peers in UN technolgy use, adoption survey

The United Nations has ranked Kenya seventh in use and adoption of latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics and drones in sub-Saharan Africa.

The country trails South Africa, Mauritius, Namibia, Gabon, Cape Verde and Ghana in the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development’s (UNCTAD’s) Technology and Innovation Report 2021.

The survey on 158 countries worldwide assessed progress made by countries in adopting, using and adapting to frontier technologies in a fast digitalising global economy…
