Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) has set aside close to Sh400 million to upgrade the stalled Mathare-Korogocho hospital to a Level-Five health facility.
Construction works on the health facility, which has been around since 1989, had stalled for several years before President Uhuru Kenyatta in July instructed the Major General Mohammed Badi-led administration to take over the upgrade of the facility.
NMS Director of Health Services Dr Josephine Kibaru-Mbae said the hospital could start operating as early as April next year…
