The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission claimed the Valuation and Taxation director, Dr. Salome Munubi, at the National Land Commission deliberately engaged in a fraudulent compulsory acquisition scheme for the Standard Gauge Railway.
According to the commission, through a sworn affidavit says Dr. Munubi engaged in a fraudulent scheme to facilitate compensation for the illegal ownership of Keibukwo Investment ltd, Olomotit and Dasahe Ltd. This is despite knowledge of the title deeds to the land were revoked by NLC because they were illegal.
The anti graft agency says the parcels were not available for allocation or subject to compulsory acquisition and as such, public funds were lost.
