Civil society groups have strongly condemned forceful evictions and demolitions that have been going in several parts of the country and have threatened to sue the Government for violation of human rights. According to the group, more than 7, 000 households of Kariobangi Sewerage Slum, Korogocho Market, Kisumu Ndogo, and Nyayo village in Nairobi County were evicted under police watch and left homeless after the government demolished their houses to reclaim the land between May 4th and 6th 2020.
