The Ministry of Lands Cabinet Secretary, Farida Karoney, today held a consultative meeting with elected leaders of Laikipia County Government led by Governor Ndiritu Muriithi and his Deputy Governor John Mwaniki. The meeting was to discuss titling and planning of urban centres in Laikipia County under the Ministry’s Wizara Mashinani titling programme.
In line with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s directive, the Ministry in partnership with the County Government of Laikipia will deliver 40,000 titles in the next 5 months. Laikipia is among the 12 Counties that are set to benefit in the first phase of the titling Programme.
The Lands CS later presided over a public baraza in Nanyuki, and assured residents of Government’s commitment to title their land. The Lands Ministry will hold land clinics in Nanyuki on December 10, 11 to address emerging issues.
