The State is set to step up the enforcement of health safety guidelines to curb the spread of Covid-19 amid rising laxity by a section of the public.
Inspector General of police Hilary Mutyambai said there was increased violation including holding unauthorised public gatherings without observance of social distance, failure to adhere to curfew hours by business operators and individuals, overcrowding in public service vehicle (PSV) and failure to wear face masks.
