The Rural Electrification Authority (REA) has been ordered to pay a contractor Sh21 million for excess aluminum cables supplied 10 years ago.
Patmose Technical Service in February 2010 supplied 441,100 metres of cables to the REA yard in Embakasi, Nairobi.
The supply, however, surpassed REA’s order by 198,958 metres, triggering a dispute over payment. REA said it would not pay for what it did not order and declined to sign the delivery note…
