The second phase of demolitions in Kisii is set to resume this week even as members of a multi-agency task force mandated with the exercise admit corruption may have hindered success in the first stage.
Yesterday, members of the task force who had met to deliberate on the next stage of demolitions traded blame games accusing each other of having fallen victim of corruption cartels who may have given out millions of shillings in a bid to “protect” tycoons from loss.
