Kenyans with dual citizenship will be barred from serving in the foreign service if a proposed law passes as drafted.
The Foreign Service Bill seeks to “professionalize” the diplomatic service, making it more accountable and responsible to the changing times. Ambassadors, special envoys, consular officials and honorary consuls will constitute the foreign service which will be headed by the Cabinet Secretary.
