Businesses have installed an additional 4,777 card payments or point-of-sale (PoS) machines since the onset of Covid-19, sending the total count of these digital payment platforms to a record high on increased demand for non-cash transactions.
The latest Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) data to March shows that there were 48,355 PoS machines, up from 43,578 at the end of February last year…
