Kenya Airways goes big on cargo as pandemic hits passenger traffic

Kenya Airways plans to double down on cargo as pandemic hits its passenger business, which is not expected to recover until 2024. Its Chief Executive Allan Kilavuka told a recent investor briefing.

The national carrier, whose joint venture with Air France KLM is expected to end in September 2021, said its peak travel season was severely hit after the country locked down its airspace, causing KQ to suffer a $330 Million loss.
