Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) is set to enrol at least 20,000 vulnerable families in the capital city under the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) medical cover.
The initiative under the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) programme begins next month with each household getting Sh6,000 yearly for the cover.
Director-general Mohammed Badi said the move is aimed at allowing vulnerable Nairobi residents access to medical services.
