President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday morning commissioned the construction of the Sh4.5 billion Makupa Bridge that will offer a seamless flow of traffic in and out of Mombasa Island.
The old Makupa causeway will be replaced by a 450m long Makupa bridge whose construction is set to be begin any time after a contract was signed between China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) and the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA).
