The Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney yesterday officially opened the Ruiru Lands Registry.
More than 50% of land records have been relocated from Thika Registry to Ruiru.
The CS urged land owners to conduct their land transactions with the Ministry of Lands officers to avoid being defraud by brokers. The CS also gave a directive for land buying companies to be vetted afresh in a bid to reduce land fraud.
The Lands CS also mentioned that the Ministry is in the process of procuring identification badges that will make it easier for service seekers to tell Ministry staff from land brokers.
