SafeBoda set to exit Kenyan market

The Ugandan ride-hailing app, SafeBoda, has announced that it will cease to operate in Kenya from November 27.

The move follows blows from Covid-19 in the transport industry, which significantly affected the Boda Boda space, affecting the company’s operations.

While Nairobi is seeing some economic recovery from Covid-19, Boda transportation has been hit hard. This has meant our business cannot sustainably operate in this environment and unfortunately, the timeline for a full recovery is not certain,” reads a notice from the startup…
