Uasin Gishu County has several projects slatted under the city resilience program. The county has received a boost from the World Bank which is set to inject Sh630 million. The fund will be directly channeled to the housing and sanitation projects under said program.
The County governor said the money will be disbursed in two tranches. The first trance which is expected to be Kshs. 320 million will be released by mid-November this year.
Projects to be rolled out include drilling of boreholes and creation of new dams to increase water availability to its residents.
