Counties cry foul over Sh194b delay

The Exchequer is on the spot for delayed release of Sh194 billion to the counties. Nearly three months into the end of the 2020-21 financial year, key services at the devolved units risk being grounded due to failure by Treasury to disburse funds.

Apart from struggling to pay salaries counties have not paid their service providers nor submitted their statutory deductions.
